UK backlink checklist for estate agents

If you run a UK estate agency, lettings business or property developer brand, these are the platforms that actually move the needle on local SEO, trust and lead flow.

Don't submit to 30 directories in one day — it looks like a link scheme. Aim for 3-5 submissions per week over 6-8 weeks.

What to avoid

Never buy 'backlink packages', PBN links, or 'guaranteed DA80+ links' on Fiverr. These will get you a Google manual penalty. There are no shortcuts.

NAP consistency

Use exactly the same Name, Address, Phone (NAP) format on every listing. Inconsistency confuses Google and dilutes local ranking signals.

The highest-value links

The highest-value backlinks come from: (1) being quoted in editorial articles, (2) publishing original research or data, (3) building free tools others link to, (4) sponsoring local events or charities, (5) genuine partnerships with non-competing businesses in adjacent sectors.
